Retired Colonel Stevenson considers it an honor to have served America and a privilege to continue her service on behalf of Kentuckians as a State Representative. During Colonel Stevenson’s 27 year service as an attorney, she provided legal services to military members and programming to equip and empower military members and their families. As a senior officer, she successfully led complex administrative divisions, provided global leadership for attorneys, paralegals and staff and gained an international perspective from living or working in 11 countries. She has held the positions of commander, flying squadron adjutant, defense attorney, chief prosecutor, law teacher, appellate court commissioner, staff judge advocate, deployed legal advisor and JAG Corps technology chief.
Sannie Overly is a Kentucky lawyer and engineer who served in the Kentucky General Assembly from 2008-2018. Sannie was the first woman in Kentucky elected to a leadership position in the Kentucky General Assembly. In the role as Majority Caucus Chair, she prioritized issues impacting women and children, and veterans and military members. Sannie ran for Lt. Governor in Kentucky in 2015, served as the chairwoman of the Kentucky Democratic Party from 2016-2017 and chaired Amy McGrath’s campaign for US Senate in 2020. She remains active in local, state and federal politics.
